Sat in a peaceful location on the quiet side of Nai Thon Beach,the high-end reso rt has just unveiled its new restaurant,Trisara Seafood, w here guests dine amid a decor that emphasizes bleached wood and cool colors inspired by Mediterra nean beachside restaurants. Chef Chaloemchai "Gia" Prakobkit combines Phuket's fresh seafood with epicurean techniques he picked up working at restaurants the world over, including the three-Michelin-starred El Celler de Can Roca in Spain, currently ranked first in the World's 50 Best Restaurants list. His grilled tiger prawns with Himalayan sa lt,for example, are a great marriage of local produce and imported ingredients. Their other main restaurant, The Deck,just launched a Sunday brunch featuring an array of seafood and international classics w ith highlights including giant lobsters, tiger prawns and fresh oysters, along with live jazz from Phuket-based artists.
