Location: The rafting starts near the highway 12 (Pitsanulok-Lom Sak), around the kilometer 52. It is close to Tha Kham Village, in Amphoe Wang Thong. You may take the sling bridge over Kek River as a landmark.
Characteristics: This small stream does not have any single small rapids. In rainy days, the water turns red and is totally full. In cold season the water is clear but gets lower quite fast. Even in rainy season, the water level is completely unpredictable. The Kek River runs along with the highway 12, therefore you can see the river quite well even while you are on the road. After the river passes through Amp hoe Wang Thong, it will flow out to Nan River at Amp hoe Bang Kratum, Pichit.
Difficulty: Level 2-5
Duration: 2 hours
High lights: The thing that makes this small river the best site for rafting is its frequent, continuous rapids. Although the river is not very long, all travelers visiting here readily admit that they are almost choking on the fun.
There are several remarkable rapids you should ,note, for example, Pakyang Rapid which lays over than a hundred meters; Suan Ratchamangkala Rapid which has some emerging rocks that you will need to control the boat to avoid them; Sang Rapid which is similar to a small waterfall; Soparan Rapid which has the S shape; Nang Koy Rapid which is a larger waterfall, etc. After the two hours of fun and excitement, the rafting course will come to an end at Wang Nam Yen Resort.
Caution: Because Kek River is quite a rough and harsh rafting course, you should pay attention to the officers' instructions and signals very well all through the activity. There will be some officers with rescue equipment stationed at every rapid to guarantee the maximum safety.

Note :
- Around Tha Kham Village is the start of the activity, there is also an sling bridge across the river where you can get the wonderful scenery.
- Kek River begins up there on Petchaboon Mountains. Although it is just a small one, Kek River proves to be one of the very fantastic streams for rafting in Thailand. Spend only two hours on the raft, and you will definitely find the same conclusion.
- The start of rafting is at Tha Kham Village, the water at this part still runs slowly.
- This small river that runs parallel to the Pitsanulok Lom Sak Road. The upper parts of Kaeng Song Waterfall are some fun rapid.
- Sang Rapid creates so many high waves that your raft may be flying if the water is full.
- Kek River has most enjoyable and continuous rapids among all rivers for rafting in Thailand.
- When the water level is just right, the rafting activity will take around 2 hours and will be really impressive.
