Excursion Programs for Package Tour at Chiang Rai

CTSP 01. 3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS TREKING & SOFT ADVENTURE

DAY 1
DEPARTURE 08.00  HIGHLIGHT: BOAT RIDE- ELEPHANT RIDE- HILLTRIBE VILLAGES
Leave your hotel for a long-tail boat trip along the Kok River to Baan Ruam Mitr Karen Hilltribe village  here you start an exciting elephant riding through the jungle and country side then cross the river to   Karen Hilltribe village Baan Kamnu. Continue treking to another Karen village Baan Klang, take a short rest  and then head to Lahu hilltribe village, Baan Maetang where you spend a night here.

DAY 2
DEPARTURE 08.00      HIGHLIGHT: CHINESE VILLAGE-  HUAY KAEW WATERFALL- AKHA VILLAGE
After breakfast, leave for a Yunnan Chinese Village where you lunch is local served. Afternoon, trek to Huay Kaew waterfall, the biggest and the most beautiful waterfall in Chiang Rai area where you can take your time relax and swim. Then continue on to an Akha hilltribe vilage to spend another night in hilltribe people house.

DAY 3
DEPARTURE 08.00      HIGHLIGHT: HOT SPRING- HILLTRIBE VILLAGES
Start treking to Huay Makleam Hot Spring where you can enjoy bathing in outdoor mineral water pool to relieve all the tension during the past two days of treking. Then walk a little bit more to Lahu and Akha village where you switch to another mode of transportation, Songtaew, to return to your hotel or transfer to the airport.

 

CTSP 02. 3DAYS-2 NIGHTS  HORSE RIDING MONK& 9 JOM TEMPLES

DAY 1
DEPARTURE 08.00            HIGHLIGHT: CHIANG RAI (ITY- WAT RONGKHUN- DOl TUNG
Leave your hotel to visit Wat phra thad Doi Jom Thong on the hill top overlooking Chiang Rai city with its navel pillars. Visit also Wat Phra Kaew Chi­ ang Rai where the famous Emerald Buddha (in bangkok) was founded in 1434 and wat Phra Sing. Then A stop is made at King Meng Rai Monument who was the founder of Chiang Rai in 1262. Then visit a panoramic view point of Chiang Rai city from the hill top of Wat Phra Thad Doi Kao Kway. Visit also Wat Rong Khun, also called "The White Temple", inside it contains murals and painting of Buddha image and painted enamel ceramic floor. The outside is being created with lime scrupture Thai design decorated with small pieces of mirror that make the building sparkle and shine under the sunlight.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant . Afternoon, drive up to the high­ est mountain peak on the Thai/Burma border, Doi Tung, 2,000 meters above sea- level. In the past, the forest area around Doi Tung was destroyed by shift­ ing slash-and-burn cultivation. Until 1987, Doi Tung Development Project was established according to the King's Mother initiative.A visit is made at Mae Fah Luang Gardens and Royal villa. Drive further up to Wat Phra Thad Doi Tung on the mountain peak, regarded as the holiest sanctuary by the residents of Chiang Rai and nearby provinces. The Wat was built in A.D. 911 and it is believed that the left collarbone of Lord Buddha is enshrined in the twin pagodas.
Evening, visit Chiang Rai Night Bazaar where Tradition Norther Thai Style dinner (Kanthoke dinner) is served. After dinner, enjoy shopping local handicrafts and hilltribes product then return to hotel

DAY2
DEPARTURE 08.00            HIGHLIGHT: 9 JOM TEMPLES AROUND CHIANG RAI PROVINCE
After breakfast, leave for the famous Wat Phrathad 9 Jom (9 temples which the names begin  with the words "Jom") including Wat Phrathad Jom Thomg, Wat Phrathad Jommokkaew, Wat Phrathad Jompor, Wat Phrathad Jom­ jang, Wat Phrathad Jomwae, Wat Phrathad Jomjor, Wat Phrathad Jomkitti, Wat Phrathad Jomjun, Wat Phrathad Jomsak. Lunch and dinner will be provide at local restaurant.

DAY 3
DEPARTURE 07 .00           HIGHLIGHT: HORSE BACK RIDING MONK- MAE SALONG- MAE SAl
Early morning, after breakfast. leave for Lankaew Monastery to do the monk offering for the famous Horse Riding Monks of Thum Par Archa Tong Temple. Then leave for Mae Chan 40 kms away, drive uphill to visit Yao a Akha Hilltribe Villages.  Continue driving up Doi Mae Sa long to Santi Kiri KMT Yunan Chinese Refugee settlement. with its tea a coffee plantations and also co-opstore where home made wines,medical herbs and other locally grown products are sold.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Continue driving for Mae Sai, Thai-Burma trading border to explore a local market,famous for products from Southern China, Burma, and Laos. Proceed to the Golden Triangle area, where the borders ofThailand, Burma, and Laos meet. Visit also the Opium Museum. Return to your hotel or transfer to the Airport.

 

CTSP 03. 3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS DOl WAWEE- DOl CHANG


DAY 1
DEPARTURE 08.00            HIGHLIGHT: DOl CHANG- CHERRY BLOSSOM- DOl WAWEE
Leave your hotel for Doi Wawee, Mae Srauy District. On the way, visit Doi Chang where famous for its "Doi Chang Coffee" which is admired to be one of of the best coffees in Thailand. Vist Doi Chang High Land Agricultural Royal Project to see the hills covered wtih millions of Cherry Blossom trees (the flow­ ers bloom around December to February) .Then visit the secret spring on the top of the mountain wh ich is one among the nine springs in Thailand which its water is used in many rituals ofThai Monarchy. After lunch, head back to Doi Wawee w here we will spend a night at Laolee Resort. Chinese Yunnan style dinner is served while you enjoy the show of hilltribes children.

DAY 2
DEPARTURE 06.00            HIGHLIGHT: DOl KADPEE-  HORSE BACK RIDING ALONG TEA PLANTATION
Early morning, drive uphill to Doi Kadpee, the highest peak of Doi Wawee mountain (1,600 meters above sea level) where you can enjoy the cool breeze and 360 degree panoramic view  of Burma's Yon city to the west, Mae Sai border town to the north, and Baan Du District to the east. After breakfast at the resort. enjoy horse back riding around the tea plantation cover the hills around the resort. Lunch is served. Then the tour to tea processing and factory. Then continue on to Orange orchard where you can pick and taste the very fresh orange from the tree as much as you can. Chinese Yunnan Style Sukiyaki will be served for the dinner.

DAY 3
DEPARTURE 08.00    HIGHLIGHT: WAWEE- WAT RONG KHUN
Leave the resort to Wat  Phrathad Jomjang then to King Naresuan Shrine. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Continue on to Wat Phrathad Jommokkaew and then Wat Rong Khun, also called "The White Temple", inside it contains murals and painting of Buddha image and painted enamel ceramic floor. Return to your  hotel or transfer to the Airport

 

CTSP 04. 3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS CHIANG RAI -KYAIN TONG

DAY 1
DEPARTURE 08.00                                HIGHLIGHT: DOl MAE SALONG- DOl TUNG- MAE SAl
Leave for Mae Chan 40 kms away.  Then drive uphill to visit Yao Akha Hilltribe Villages.  Continue driving up Doi Mae Salong to Santi Kiri KMT Yunan Chinese Refugee settlement, with its tea a coffee plantations and also co-op store where home made wines, medical herbs and other locally grown products are sold. The villagers are ethnic Chinese, descendents of KMT Nation­ alist Chinese army regiment that took refugee in Thailand almost  50 years ago when Communist Forces won the civil war in mainland China. Doi Mae Salong enjoys a cool and refreshing climate all year round. In January, Japanese Sakura flowers  cover  the  hillsides.   Afterwards  visit  Akha  hilltribe at  Lor Cha V illage.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Then drive up to the highest mountain peak on the Thai/Burma border, Doi Tung, 2,000 meters above sea­ level. DAY 2
DEPARTURE 08.00            HIGHLIGHT: MAE SAl- THA KHELEK- PAYAK- KYAIN TONG
Cross the river into Tarchilek, burma border town then continue rid­ ing to Kyain Tong, 160 Kilometers away (takes about 3 hours) to visit the magnificent Wat Maha Meamunee where is very respected by Ta iyai citizen. See alse the famous 270 years old banyan tree on the hill top over look ing Kyain Tong city. Evening wnjoy view at Nongtong Lake, a big reserv ior located on the hearth of the city.

 DAY 3
DEPARTURE 07.00           HIGHLIGHT: KYAIN TONG- TAR LOR- MAE SAl
Early morning, visit the colorful morning market of Kyain Tong where tribal people from all around the area sell their products in their tradit iona l tribal costume. Then leave for Tarchilek market at the border and enjoy shop­ ping for products from Southern China, Burma, and Laos. Cross the border back to Thailand and transfer to your hotel or to the airport.
