Rubber Boat Rafting at Mae La Mao River, Tak

Highlights: This river seen from the road long time ago has recently become one of the very enjoyable rafting sites especially in rainy season. The activity is a really great fun for it is not too hard or too easy, suitable for both kayak and rubber boat, and you can also continue with other activities as well as the rafting takes only two hours.  Besides rafting, most popular recreations are trekking, elephant riding, cart riding, mountain bicycling, and waterfalls touring.
Caution: Although the river course is not really difficult, for utmost safety you should wear helmet and life buoy all the time you are on the raft, and follow the officers' instructions strictly.
The Best Season: Around the middle of the rainy season to the early cold season.
Rainy season: This is the most suitable period, because the water is full, the weather is fine and the forest is perfectly green.
Early cold season: The water level is getting low, so sometimes you have to carry the raft along instead. Yet the weather is very comfortable and the water is really clear.

Highlights.
The Thai-Myanm ar Friendship Bridge at Moei River.
The Westest of Thailand at Moei River is in Moe Sot.
The starting point of the rafting is still slow amid the pure natural settings.
The end of the rafting course is a green plain, after the two hour of rafting among the high forest.
Mae Lamao River is not very wide so the kayak and small rubber boat are most appropriate.
The rapids in Mae La Mao River are not actually rapid, yet they are enjoyable enough. Some of them are like stairs of small waterfalls.
During the rafting, you will find this nameless waterfall which adds more beauty to this green scenary.
